The people are very nice and humbled. And they treat tourists like their own family member. Who would have thought that there are still genuinely nice people back home in the Philippines? I truly admire Boholanos. Visiting Bohol is definitely a great experience.

I feel so lazy today and did nothing but gaze nowhere. Sigh, idle moments like this makes me think of things that aren't to be thought. It keeps my sleepy mind awake and rush all at once. Sometimes it's tiring to think. Sigh...

Queen's abode
It's nice to live in a condo where one can enjoy all the amenities. But then I wonder if Queen will have time? She's too busy and caught up with work a lot of times. Oh well, everything she has right now is worth it all. She's one blessed girl. I'm happy for her.

Gossip is crispier than fried chicken
I know for a fact that all of us doesn't wanna be left out with the latest news on tv, print, and even in our own personal lives. Rumor or gossip is just inevitable, isn't it? Even if it means ruining someone's life.
I just did something noble for myself today. Oh well, after someone stabbed me to death at my back, I chose to do something to calm myself and move on peacefully. So instead of drowning myself with the hear says and hoo-has around me, I removed all the people in my FB network that connects me to that someone. And when I say remove all, it means everyone, even if the other people are not involved. Ironic but, it's quite a relief.
Although, I am partly sad for doing it because I have a few good friends in that circle. But then I had to make a sacrifice so I can move on faster. Doing it, actually made me feel better. And I'm glad. I can just shrug the gossip off my shoulders.
God is definitely good all the time...

Freedom
I am happy to be free. But a part of me is also sad because I leave behind the people that I have learned to care. Too bad, I happen to be a victim of emotional and verbal violence. And it's one of the reasons why I don't wanna stay. It is ironic when people say they'd rather be hurt physically than be dragged with degrading words, I completely agree. A wound will heal. But harsh words, it's just too difficult to refute. It ripped off everything I had...
True enough, life is not always a "win-win" situation. We win some, we lose some. In this case, I lost. I'm taking a break from work. I need to be strong again to face another chapter of my career. I live it all up to Him...

We saw their website and oh my, I am so going to try those thrills. Check out their website E.A.T Danao. We'll be in Bohol for 3D/2N. We opted to extend another night but I thought, I wanna see Cebu at night. So we'll be spending overnight in Cebu and splurge with lotsa food and scenic views. Can't wait!

Mackee was born on my bday...
But the horrible part of that same day...back home in the Philippines, typhoon Ondoy tremendously put the lives of my countrymen in misery and deep danger. It was saddening to watch the news with so many lives taken :( Mother Nature took it's toll. And for that, I wanna extend my sympathy to all the families that had been affected even in the smallest way I can. Let's all pray for a speedy recovery of the Philippines.

Customer Service in Singapore
I'd like to share my customer service experience with a jewelry shop. Late last year, me and my fiance were looking for a perfect wedding band. We've been to different jewelry stores from east to west. There were a lot of great finds but I didn't like how I was served. As a customer, I'd seen staffs who are very pushy. And this attitude can boo away customers, I didn't like personally.
Luckily, we stepped in to CITIGEMS. Their staff, Diana, is very passionate with her job. She is empathic to her customers. I was very pleased on how I was served. I've never seen such an excellent customer service. She gives her most honest suggestions beneficial to customer and not for profit cause only. She is one exception of showing fair customer service both to local and foreign customers. She knows how to blend with the needs of her customers and not insistent. She makes sure her customers are happy-customers when they leave the store. I was completely satisfied.
I've shared this topic because of a group of people called "squad members" from Service Squad. This is an online site initiated by various agencies to be the platform for everyone to raise their opinions and experiences of good or bad customer service in Singapore.
The service squad is launching a campaign Are You Being Served to raise awareness and to bring the customer service of Singapore to a higher level.
We encourage your participation by joining this vision and mission. Please login at Singapore Customer Service .. Share Your Story because we value your input.

Work is Nuts!
My professionalism had been tried and tested so many times since I joined this company. It started from a tedious 3-hour job interview, adjustment to colleagues when I got hired, change of departments and managers, and the list goes on.
To put it in focus, I felt devastated a week ago when I learned that my leave was not approved. I know from a manager's perspective that if operations fail, leaves are subject to approval. But in my case, the leave was planned even before I was moved to this department end of 2008, even before the managers had changed. It had long been fixated. It was really nuts! Of all my leaves, this is the leave that I cannot afford not to happen. I felt bad, she thinks it's easy because she's not in my shoes. In fact, I expected her to give me support knowing that she had been married too. She should know the importance. But she gave me the answer I never saw coming. Anyways, I didn't stop. Instead I prayed very hard that she'll have a change of heart and let me take the leave. I really fought for it til I got approved hehe.

Rough and tough...
Another bunch of people is leaving next week. Eve is ending on Monday and another on Friday. Whoa, it is really manic! This is not a retrenchment but a poor management so to speak. In my personal opinion, I think the company's business strategy is weak. Their priorities are different which is why employees leave. I once watched a CEO talk about his priorities. He said that the top 3 would be 1) his employess, 2) customers) and 3) share-holders. Too bad our office chooses his employees the least. What can a customer and share-holders do without employees to run it? Sigh, I just feel bad that our office does not live up to its famous name.
Why don't I leave too? I'm not a hero for staying hehehe. I'm still under contract so it's tough for me to be torn in between. If I choose to leave before my contract ends, I'll be thrice my salary at a big loss. Though I am hoping for a change, it's never too late.

Be Heard!
As a foreign worker, I believe it is essential to know this information for security reasons and future endeavors. There had been write-ups saying that the economy is now on its road to recovery. How true is this? Are the Singapore banks safe and sound? Do we feel the security?
Let yourself be heard. A Euro RSCG Asia-Pacific Quarterly Financial Services Survey is being conducted to provide in depth “insights and analysis of consumer’s attitudes and perceptions” pertaining to brand and communication strategies.
How does it work? Euro RSCG came up with a research methodology to track and analyze brands. It is called Brand Momentum. What is this? It is a dynamic measure of a brand’s perceived progress relative to its competition. It also “monitors a brand’s total activity more than the traditional approach of tracking by discipline and campaign.”
What is the goal of the survey? It will provide the banking industry with the true views and opinions of consumers. It will inspire them to create products and services to our own advantage. In this survey, there will be “no personal details identified in the findings and responses will strictly be confidential as data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate.”
Singapore is known to be a busy and promising country, but a few minutes of your time to complete this survey will be greatly appreciated. The completed survey will be entered into a draw to win one of 60 movie vouchers that can be used in Singapore cinemas. So please take part as we value your input.

Future Thought
I am now a few months away from my EOL with DHL. Should I or should I not renew? That’s a big question yet to be answered. I know the economy is still recuperating from its major business losses. Still, I want to try my other options. I have always wanted to try my own field of profession. It’s been almost 7 years since I last practiced my true profession, full-time. And I miss it! I wish I’d be given the opportunity to work-with-passion, again. I miss the unexplainable smell of the printer ink, miss reading the over-sized broadsheet, and glossy mags, answering the crossword puzzles corner, checking who is in and out in sports and celebrity world.
I feel that my niche is still on this field. It's just too bad that it wasn’t a fulfilling job back home, not to many ordinary people like me.
I've been checking my options online on how to multi-task both in school and work. Given the chance, I'd really want to try next year if my schedule permits. We'll see...

W-Prep II
As to my personal life, I'm pretty much tied-up with the second phase of W-Preps. I've booked the invites and giveaways, finally! Although I haven't included the giveaways for our sponsors. I'm still working on closing the deal. I find that it's quite tough to handle everything especially I'm based abroad (the event will be back home in Phil) But why should I complain? I chose to be hands on to it, so I gotta do anyway. I think it is much better to know the ins and outs of the things I want, so I'll only have myself to blame in case I fail hehe.
Thanks to the checklist that I have, I am able to list the things that needs to be done and I'm so happy that I'm over 50% done. Kudos! By the time I go back in Oct, hopefully about 80% done. It's four months away and I can't hide the smile on my face. I'm happy. Although there are some bumps and humps along the journey, I still hope that we'll pull this through smoothly. I don't let any bad vibes dampen my happy thoughts. I'm just so happy...and I hope this mood remains constant as long as it can be.

Thing is, because I'm so much in to details, I haven't settled down to the right color matches that I want haha. It's a girl thing. I keep browsing the net to get ideas but too much ideas clash with what was pre-planned. And the sad part, our expenses gets higher huhu. So Archie wants me to stop itching for more ideas. Fine!
Anyways, everything is going smoothly and in place. I hope to maintain such until D-day.

Miss you in a heartbeat
I'm feeling mushy today not only because it's father's day, but also for the reason that my mom just turned two years since she passed away. And to commemorate for may parents' passing, I went to church early to offer prayer.
I'm glad to still come around.

Scrub it hot!
I've just visited the site called Scrubs. It has several links for visitors to explore. If you are stressed with work and needs replenishment or inspiration, the "mind" tab can help you. People who are conscious about their weight can also find helpful information through the "health" link. Not only that, Scrubs also shares insight about fashion. This is imperatively fascinating for busy nurses on or off duty. Not because they wear scrubs mean they couldn't be fashionable especially this summer. It is nice to create a new trend for the new season. Just click the "style" tab for more information.
I read one beauty story entitled "Lipstick Stat" from one of the nursing students who visits Scrubs. It is known to all that being a nurse means round-the-clock energy. And majority of nurses lacks a decent sleep. Megan shared her tips on how to look fresh and lively to patients no matter how tired she could be. She said that she always puts mascara and lipstick. The former helps to emphasize and give life to her eyes while the latter is applied every chance she gets. It makes her feel good. She feels that being presentable helps her patients look at her comfortably rather than be frightened.
So don't ever ditch looking great for anything. Whichever time of the day, always be ready and look great.
Is the information too short? Scrubs will give you detailed answers. See it for yourself.

Bye Michael Scofield
About the ending, I find it a bit tragic. It's because after all the win-win battles of Michael in the entire 4 seasons, he died at the end...sigh. I guess it's the best way to confirm to the audience that there is no more upcoming season huhu. I wish the creator would think of a spin-off or anything that could lead star Wentworth again. I will surely miss the cast. Bye bye Michael Scofield, this show made my weekends worth looking forward to for the last 4 years. More shows to come!

Meet Onee
Aloha cyber friends! I don't know if there are still people who visits my site huhu. Work has greatly consumed my time that I've neglected my cyber home.
For the longest time I have consistently blamed work for all that I have lost in my personal life. But no matter how much I whine about it, I have one of the reasons to keep on going. And that is because of Onee, my new baby Canon. Yipee! I am so happy to have finally bought my own SLR. It was really a dream come true.
Having this piece felt like reuniting with an old-trusted friend that has gone for a while. And like what reunited friends do, I went to "tour" this piece for a quick test hehe.
Here is my first test. I was trying to capture the glistening water but failed. The sun had been playing hide and seek with me. Too bad, it was not a good day for a sunny 125 shot.
I'm still not pleased hehe. I would need more practice. It's been 10 years since I had a grip of this piece. Wala pang Digital nun hehe.
