My life's masquerade

I may have shown significant amount of happiness in my recent posts, but I've got my own masquerade. It's now Christmas and I see everyone happy but me. No book or any other kind of earthly gifts can fathom the sadness and pain that I feel during happy times like this. Christmas is family and I feel so torn not having to be around my family. And it hurts even more to think that I long to spend holidays with my parents, them who had passed away. Holidays only reminds me of the memories I had with them that I will never have in this world ever again. Sigh, since I've started to live my life long away from home, I'm learning to master the art of living a life of masquerade. Anyways, have a merry christmas!

Moving on to 3rd

Photobucket

I'd like to call my chance to have a copy of this book pure luck. Whilst everyone is making a last minute shopping, I occupied myself rummaging every bookstore just to grab a copy of the 3rd installment. I wasn't ever this enthusiastic and attached with books until this time. I find it cool and a nice avenue for inspiration hehe.

Addiction

Photobucket So I am seriously addicted to the Twilight saga that I finished reading book 2 in one sitting. Whoa! I am lucky to be off from work today, I didn't have to worry getting interrupted with my reading hihi.

New Moon, the book 2, was not as honey-sweet romantic as the first one. I was bored at the first half of it. Maybe it was because the story was all about Jacob and Bella. But I was somehow touched when Charlie was talking to Alice about the devastating life Bella had after Edward left. Well, I bet I'd feel the same way if I were her hehehe. Anyways, Bella and Edward rekindled at the end. Now, I'm up for book 3. Sigh, I hope Stephenie Meyer won't end Edward story just yet.

Fast Forward

I miss my blog so much! I feel like I was just freed from a dungeon for not being in the blogosphere for a while.

In the short span of 2 weeks, my life was like in fast-forward pace. I was moved to another department at work which came in a huge box of surprise. Since my transfer, I felt like I traveled through a time machine because my time flew so fast that I didn't notice it's almost Christmas time. This is the only weekend I have for myself since I moved. Last week was a real work-my-ass-off kind of thing. My precious weekends were spent at work. Oh well, after I celebrated my first work birthday, here comes new challenges. I hope that in time, I'd be able to master the stuffs I am asked to do. I am still learning the ropes, it is indeed a big challenge for me.

Ok enough of that professional side. I just wanna share that despite my busy work schedule, I still managed to have time for my lurv, Edward Cullen. OMG! I have never been so attached to novels that I read until Stephenie Meyer's piece. I am driven by her great passion in creating such wonderful characters. Would you believe that I watched the movie for the Nth time now? Although the movie wasn't well illustrated as that of the book, I still watched it because of Edward. He was perfectly described and brought to life through Rob Pattinson's. It was indeed an amazing masterpiece. I hope that the movie sequel will be better, especially for Bella to act more like the character in the book. I love the book so much that I keep reading it especially the lines of Edward that makes me awe. Who wouldn't wanna be bitten? I feel like a teenager reading this book. For a busy and stressed-packed lady like me, reading the books keep me less troubled. It inspires me somehow. I'm still gonna start to read the second book. It's because I still wanna savor Twilight for now and I don't want it to end. Ok, I'm drooling in a broad daylight now haha. Tah!

Twilight Mania

Photobucket There has been a number of people that I spoke to in the last couple of days and all of 'em are raving about Twilight.

I always see this in torrents but it never caught my attention until yesterday. Rona had gone gaga over this new best-selling novel. After talking wildly about this, I hurried myself to the bookstore and bought myself the book haha. I want to be a part of this new book Saga. I have the copy of the movie now, but then I thought, I should read the book first. I'm excited to see what's in store for this.

A moment of silence

Amidst all the terrorism and recession going on in the whole world, there is always a moment of silence when Manny Pacquiao, a phenomenal professional boxer, is on international television for a huge boxing fight. Manny's influence has greatly impacted the Filipinos especially to the public figures. I was browsing the net last night to check on the schedule and to my surprise, a headliner read " Military suspends offensives for Pacquiao-Dela Hoya fight." Logically, if we can put aside our angst this way, could it not be applied in real-life and be more sensitive? Oh well, I am only a tiny voice to speak up of what's happening today.

Anyways, going back to the event, the bout between Manny and Oscar had been one of the most awaited match. Ever since Manny dominated most of the tournaments, I felt this match was to somehow (in the slightest chance) regain what many Mexican boxers had lost. Yet after watching the fight a few hours ago, Manny has yet to be defeated. Although Oscar is really hot and all, Manny is still "D Man." Cheers to all Pinoys! If you guys would like to know Manny, read it here.

My First Work Birthday

Today is my first birthday with DHL, I turned exactly 1 year. And to give me a nice 1 year welcome, I was moved to a new work station.

And not only that, I was tasked to help on some investigation which I thought wasn't that urgent so I hurried to go home. While at the bus stop, my boss called me to say the job needs to be done urgently and requested me to go back. Ack! Good thing I wasn't on board yet. Poor me had to go back and help. I still saw the sun so bright outside on my way back. But after the exhaustive here and there investigation, when I went home, there was no more sun shining but the moon hehe. It was my first time to work that late. I guess that's a hint that on my first work birthday, comes greater challenges. I just wish for the best to come.

Enough said, I still had the best reason to smile :)
