Go Tisha and Geoff!!!

OMG!!! I am so much addicted to this Series. I've been a follower since season 2 and to show support, I wave The Philippine flag for being currently on top of the race. Go Geoff and Tisha, make us proud.

If I may, I know that in every competition there will always be a loser and a winner. And it is inevitable that contestants tend to involve more than what is required and may say bad remarks to opponents. I believe that to be a good player, means knowing how to show sportsmanship to the rest. I hope that by the end of the season, these players would remember the wonderful experience more than the bad. Either we win or lose, whatever happens, the experience is incomparable. I wish I could join, too. Although I don't have the stamina to eat exotic foods, surely I'd lose on that challenge haha. Anyways, hep hep hurray for Philippines!

Defensive Mechanism

I searched for the synonyms of these two words and I found Defensive = Guilty ; Mechanism = Means or written better as "means guilty."

Yes, this is very true for someone that I happen to deal with often. She is one person I never thought would be that defensive with her acts considering the "title" she has. I cannot simply comprehend why she treats people like us so stumpy. She claims to have been brought up by someone like us. Hmmm, she should somehow act according to what she was taught right? Well, I guess the teacher or whoever guided her in growing up may have missed some essential parts - like how to co-exist with other people. I don't have any personal grudge with her but I'm just merely citing what I see of her. And I must say, she disappoints me completely.

Actually, I'm not directly involved with whatever issues she has but I just feel for some people. They come to me and tell what they feel. And I totally understand where they are coming from. I will surely feel the same way had I been part of it, too.

At first, I just let the chitchat come and go. Why? because being a person with a decent education, would know when to give the other person the benefit of the doubt. And I guess it is but fair to also hear what she has to say or atleast act on.

As months and days passed, there are times when she's ok but more oftenly she's not. I thought I could bare the sour treatment but as of this morning, I realized that it's not worth my day to see her more in the years to come. I am not in favor of how she defensively "guards her own hoard of sheep" infront of others. She evidently shows prejudice without empathy for others. Personally, I have my own prejudices too, but to be noticed by others especially if I hold a certain "crown of distinction", I should atleast be a little discreet. Her strategy of defense makes her more susceptible. Argh! I totally lost the drive to hang on longer. Talk about fast forward, I wish its 2009.

Swamped but happy

I have been swamped with a lot of things to do lately both at work and some personal errands. And gosh, I have not watched the TV series for a week now. I worry that I may lose track of what I'm opted to do. My mind is so preoccupied. If only I could fast forward time and let this month end effortlessly. Actually, not just this month but fast forward this year haha. I am so looking forward for the year to come. 2009 is what motivates me to really work my a** off. I may sound blur to you but I'm just happy for 2009. Cheers!

Getting to the other side

Aside from a sweet surprise birthday treat we (with my housemates) gave to our friend, I went with Archie to Boon Lay to claim his medical result. Whoa, the ride is really from end to the other end. Seriously, even if it is only one train ride if it would take over an hour, is really a pain in the a**! Ack! It's too far. Now, I got that chance to get to the other side of Singapore. Whew!

Happy Weekend

I feel happy this weekend. My friend celebrated her birthday and we, her housemates led by her boyfriend shared efforts to create a surprise party for her. I cooked pancit (stir-fried noodles), Archie blew the balloons while the rest prepared the food. It was such a sweet surprise. All six of us had a well-dined birthday party at our own home.

Counting for a lonely Xmas

I haven't been able to update my site for almost a week now. I am stuck with work and the change of time in AU and NZ is completely nuts. I log in here just merely staring and scrolling the bar each time. Argh! I have so many things in my mind but with just little time to unload it.

My colleague is on leave for a week so I gotta cover for him. That means, my work plus his work equals stress hehe. I guess a week won't hurt, will it? I'll survive.

It's 62 days more before Christmas. Ack! I'll be spending again my second year of loneliest christmas and new year abroad huhu. I wish next year will be different and hopefully spend it back home with my big family. Here, not even a colorful light nor a christmas song is heard. I feel like I am in an industrial-desserted island hehe. Ok, this is not complaining. I just miss the christmas songs, christmas tree, lanterns, and santa. Can someone please play for me a nice christmas song? :P

Can you forget what you do all your life?

I went to attend mass last night and it was my first time to ever witness a priest forget (or should I say) missed some parts of the mass. He totally forgot about the "Our Father" part and went straight to "Sign of Peace". I was completely surprised. Hmm, maybe the priest was too hungry to figure out which comes next. I just hope it won't happen again as it loses the spiritual momentum.

The Parable of the Prodigal Son

I am sure everyone of us have heard about one of the most famous and told parable stories of the bible. I used to watch it in Lenten season in religious movies. And I remember while I was younger, this parable was also acted in a biblical cartoon television series.

The Parable of the Prodigal Son is found the New Testament, Luke 15:11-32. It is a story about a man with two sons. The younger son was in a hurry to get his inheritance while his father is still alive. And so his father obliged. He went to the city and spent his money on wastage and eventually enslaved himself after losing all the money. After what happened to him, he opened his senses and decided to return to his father to ask for forgiveness. He even made a bargain to his father if he could work for him as one of his servants.

Soon as he returned home, his father welcomed him with open arms and quickly butchered a fatted calf to rejoice for his return. This was what made his older brother jealous of the treatment that his younger brother got. He felt that he should have been rewarded more over his younger brother who had been away for a while. But his father answered instead and said "Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found."

This parable is something that can continuously inspire us about life. We, people should value repentance more than anything in this world. For if we repent and humble ourselves for our mistakes, we are graced with forgiveness and blessings in return. A true person who has love in his heart will always have room to ask forgiveness and to forgive those who have sinned.

HSM3 in Theatres Oct 24!

Wild Cats are back! Hurrah to all High School Musical fans out there like me.

The third installment of the blockbuster movie is to hit the theatres soon and I'm pretty sure a lot of fans are dying to watch the screening.

Photobucket

Since it is the senior year for HSM, the movie would all be about graduation and growing up. I remember way back 11 years ago when I graduated in high school (quite long time) I was very active in outdoor activities. I was a part of the campus dance group and joined sports activities to develop my talents and potential skills. And who would miss high school without having a crush? During my time of course I did have an apple of my eye, though he never knew he was haha. Anyways, my graduation was pretty alright. Me and my friends had our proper goodbyes. We exchanged contact numbers and had the best of fun all night after the ceremony. It was the first time I ever drunk liquor then *winks*

The hardest part of being with high school friends would be graduation. It is difficult to suddenly change from the usual routine of seeing friends almost everyday of the week. It is hard to say goodbye not only to them but to the whole memories spent in high school. All good and bad days with teachers, academic opponents and crushes is difficult to let go. But despite the parting ways, graduation (on the brighter side) is not the end but a new beginning for each one to grow and be a level higher in making their dreams come true. Just like Troy Bolton, who knows if he'll be the next Michael Jordan? So let's think of graduation as the opener for bigger horizons. Cheers to all graduates!

Blogosphere keeps me up late

Why can't I resist the blogosphere? I am so hooked with blogging that I can stay up late at night on weekends. Hmm, it starting to feel like home to me more than my physical home. I just have so many things in mind and this is the only place where I could mention it all. *winks*

How has God changed our life?

I grew up in a big family where the words of God are abundantly preached. Most of these preachings are bible scriptures that really touches my heart. I have been into a lot of Bible reflections done in many different ways such as retreats and weekly Bible sharing at home. This practice at first was difficult to understand, until I found a personal relationship with God. These religious exposures I have made me accept Him in my life and obey in as much as I could His teachings.

God has changed my life in so many ways that I cannot count. There have been times where I feel like giving up but my love for Him is what keeps me going on. Since then, I have lived and inspired my life with these Bible verses:

Jeremiah 29:11-13
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

These are my motto in life. It is indeed enriching to read the Scriptures. If you feel like it is time for you to reflect, CineMeetings & Events is hosting the first-ever Theatre Church Conference in Silver Spring, MD on October 22 & 23. Find out more on how God can change your life. Find out more information on how to make your life worth living and dying for. It is never too late to have a change of heart in God. Find out more and be a part of this event to strengthen your personal relationship with the Lord.

Homework on a weekend

Yesterday was not quite a busy Friday for me. I met up with Archie at Kembangan MRT to drop by at Coco Hub. It's the place where me and my colleagues usually spend our after Friday work to have a sip of sweet Thai coconut, that I just love. By the way, it is also us that named the place Coco Hub hehe.

Right after, we went to Bugis to see some gift ideas. Christmas is just around the corner. It was a short yet helpful errand to make. We saw some potential stuffs. We've definitely checked our lists then left.

As of this moment, I haven't started to watch the series for this week as I am stuck doing this team minutes assigned to me in prep for the Tuesday ISO Audit. Poor me, my Saturday afternoon was kept doing paperworks. Oh well, atleast I'd be of help to my colleague who has a handful of work stuffs hehe. I might ask him soon of my Starbucks. Eve, Richard still owes us that coffee right? I should have two! *winks*

Anyways, I'll be back in a few. Have to do some of these papers first before I drown in blogosphere. Ciao!

Happy 1yr to me in SG!

Happy 1st birthday to me in Singapore. Today is my 1st year anniversary in the city of prohibitions. The time flew so fast that I didn't realize. I am so happy to be here. I've got no regrets for leaving my comfort zone back home. The blessings that I received here is more than what I expected. Despite my grieving before, God didn't leave me empty handed. He gave me a good job to start anew. And it is truly a magical feeling to witness God's miracles. I am one of His believers. I need not to see Him just to believe that He does. I love you God and thank you for your guidance. You make me a stronger child every day in each life battles.

This is my blessing from Merlion a year ago LOL!

Prison Break Update

Hi Everyone! I watched episode 7 of PB last night. I just didn't have time to update as I have so little time left. The current episode was very interesting for me hehe. I really applaud the brains behind this hit-show. The strong characters could be soft, too. Just like the task given to Sucre, he had to pretend like a hunk guy in the pool just to get close to the holder of Scylla. All viewers I assume may have apparently thought the same thing - that the guy is a gay. But hold your horses, when Sucre got invited in his suite for a drink, the guy happens to be married. And wanted Sucre to make love with his wife as his thing is useless (for lack of a better term) haha! It was a bit of a laughter on that scene. Nice one! Stay tuned...

Friends for Real

I am so happy to reconnect with my friend after a long time. I think it is what true friends is about. Love, forgiveness, and understanding are the keys to make a friendship last. If you don't have these, then you can only get to meet friends that would only last for a short time.
A friend is someone you can laugh and disagree with at times. But at the end of the day, no matter how huge is your differences, you still get along pretty well. Real friends don't compete. I am grateful to be surrounded by a lot of people because I get to see the real ones from not.

DST Mode

Sleepy, this was the feeling that welcomed my first day at work today. Some parts of Australia and the whole of New Zealand is back to Daylight Savings Time. This means, waking up an hour earlier from my usual time which is 4:45am and 5:20am. Ugh! It's that time of the year again ranting every morning of each working day. I'm two months away from turning 1-year old with my job and I still can't get to accept fully the thought that I - have to wake up in the wee hours to prepare for work. Sucks, right? But at the end of the day, I am happy. Well it's because I'm done with my day while majority are only half way through hehe. That's what I gain from the pain of waking up early. Ahh! enough complaining! I love it anyway.

Anyways, before I even felt dragged and sleepy, I went to attend the 4th birthday of Moira yesterday. She's the adorable child of my high school friend Queenie. It was fun to see kids around, huhu makes feel old not have one for myself LOL! The food was great, thanks Queenie!

Remember Michael Knight?

Photobucket

I am one of the avid viewers of the original Knight Rider some 20 decades ago. Coincidentally, it made it's television debut on September 26, 1982 - my bday. David Hasselhoff a.k.a. Michael Knight was at the prime of his career back then. Obviously, I was then too young (exactly 2-years old) to understand the show. But thanks for being in the third world, international hit-series would be shown after a few years. As I can recall, I think I was about 8 or 9 years old when I started to watch it in cable. Oh well, enough of the past. It just makes me older hehe.

The remake of Knight Rider debuted this fall with Justin Bruening a.k.a. Mike Traceur, the new driver of Kitt - name of the supercar. This is a brand new twist of story for the show. According to my source Mike is an ex-soldier that got recruited by Knight Industries to battle ruthless mercenaries. With the combined producers of "The Bourne Identity and Mr and Mrs Smith", the series is surely packed with speed, drama, and a whole lot more of twists. Another hint, Michael Knight is set to guest in the show. Stay tuned!

Surfing weekend

And so the week ended with not so much of a blast after I got back from my short vacation. Work as expected have become handy despite lack of manpower. I survived.

Right this moment, I am drowning myself over the net searching for resources for an upcoming event. Truly it is difficult to choose from different vibrant and beautiful creations. Well, I better start sorting it out to my best-est pick. Clueless of what I'm talking about? You'll know for sure, soon. *winks*
