Love the Water. Weee! Finally I got a dip in the water this afternoon. I went for a swim with my girlfriends. It was indeed a great Saturday. I am happy to share with you that my swimming is improving. Thanks to my good friend Che, that's her with me in the photo. hehe

It's weird but the water has just that certain connection with me. I just love it. I learned how to swim long time ago. My cousin taught me how to float, but that was it. I never knew more until I met good friends who started to teach me. Janey, taught me how to float in a supine position way back some 3 years ago in Bataan. Over the years I had enjoyed the skills I was taught until I got here last October. Che helped me to learn more. She taught me how to synchronize my breathing with the arm and leg movements. I learned how to swim by just mere teaching of friends. I never went to a formal swimming lessons. But I'm glad that I was able to cope up, maybe because I am really very eager to learn.

The ability to swim is not possessed by anybody. It has to be learned. I value it so much because I consider it a life-changing experience. Being in the water is extra-ordinary for people. Thus, the skill to swim helps us to adapt in it. Aside from this, it is a great exercise. It is good for people with asthma like me. I don't mind doing it everyday. My friends cannot deny the unending joy I have in water when they see me. I simply cannot resist. hehe I just love the water.

Yahoo! 1 more day to go before the weekend. I just can't wait. For a working gal like me, I guess it is but normal to keep on looking forward to that day when work is done for the whole week.

I am so excited to go for a swim again. It has been a long time since my last dip in the water. It's just too bad that this time I have gained some weight. Ugh! Anyhow, those extra flab in my body will not stop me. hehe Queen Latifah can stand out with nice swimsuit, I should too. Yup, that's the spirit! haha

8 Years. It has been 8 years since the earthquake in Baguio City, Philippines. Check out photos here where many people had died.

I'd like to dedicate this post to all the people who witnessed and lost their loved ones during the tragic incident. Let us pray for their souls in peace. And for the person who had a hoax prediction of another earthquake to hit Philippines this Friday, May God be with you.

Tic-Tac-Tic-Tac. Hi! Wow, I didn't notice the time. Tomorrow is again mid-week. For all the hard workers out there, three more days! Wohoo. I can't wait for it myself because the last two saturdays I was on training.

I'm starting to build another blog site in preparation for the return of TV series. Wee! I can't wait. I have so many thing to look forward to. I guess it is important to have such spices in life to keep it moving forward. Sometimes I wonder what I am living for especially all by myself with my parents gone. Am I merely waiting for God to call on me? Well, I'm making the most out of what I have now. Life is beautiful after all.

Be back later, it's cooking time again. Ciao!

Level-up. Finally, training is over. I'm one step up to another learning experience. The training was actually a second course to the previous held last May 24th and 31th. Thanks to our trainer Sham, it was indeed a fun-filled event. Oh, our big boss PK came to observe for a few minutes. Everything went perfectly fine. hehe

Everyday in our life we make decisions. The things I learned in training is something that can be applied both at work and in our daily routines. Let me share to you some tips on how to act on challenging roles.

Challenge yourself - Most of us tend to be comfortable once we've achieved what we sought. We should challenge ourselves through testing our mental limits and assumptions that we hold strong. The impossibilities of yesterday could be possible today.

Adapt to Situations - We should look beyond the normal scenarios in our lives. Let us learn to explore new ways of doings things to resolve issues.

Note Suggestions - "Two heads are better than one." In a group of people, often times ideas are developed by the strong and silent people. We should learn to listen and give them opportunities to speak up.

Develop Ideas Further - All of us should practice the art of putting different ideas into chain to come up with the best result.

Overcome Mental Blocks - Man's greatest obstacle is himself. We should demonstrate a can-do attitude to achieve a positive outlook. Whatever fears we have in mind should be transformed positively.

Let's make our lives a CAN-DO everyday :)

Not-So-Happy-Friday. I usually feel happy when it's Friday. But my excitement today suddenly turned sour. This is all because of a less significant person who is trying to steal the limelight from everyone.

For some reason, I don't know why all of a sudden I feel a silent rift somewhere. I can't fully measure the severity because I am not directly involved. But I'm beginning to dislike the outcome because everyone is starting to feel affected. I am affected. My work, too.

I've been working for a long time and I know for a fact that we can never please everyone, not even in our own family. Unlikely, someone is wanting me to fail. Someone is trying to pull me down just like what this someone is struggling to do to another person.

I'd like to know what I have done. Am I seen as an accomplice? Look, if you hate the person I talk and laugh with, don't hate me too. Because first, we don't think the same thing. Second, I just keep my cool and do my own stuffs. Third, I'm not your puppet. Come on, you wanna be a leader? Show me that you deserve to be one. If you have the ambition to someday lead, you should start changing your attitude now because seriously, nobody would want a leader like you. hehe.

This is the problem with people who assumes too much. They think they are ALWAYS right and smarter than the rest. Well, think again! I don't know what's the ulterior motive of this person. If this person is really concern about everyone, then this person should give what's due and favorable. Unfortunately, it is not the case. I realized that this someone has different faces. I thought this kind of person only exists in movies but I was obviously wrong.

I will never forget the first encounter I had with this person. I almost lost my confidence because of what this someone treated me. Good thing, that didn't stop me. Yet, I challenged myself after what happened. I am not someone who just sits around the corner and pretend nothing happened.

To you, don't be too ambitious. Wait to be recognized. Re-assess yourself and see what needs to be changed. Learn to compartmentalize your feelings. The thing with you is that everything seems too personal. Nah, it shouldn't be. A person, in order to grow should learn to accept weaknesses and strengths. Being PROUD and SELFISH will not get you anywhere. Truth hurts but you will learn from it. Mistakes are our best experiences. Nobody is perfect but if you think you are, then you need a consult. hehe I have no intentions of stepping into other people's lives nor hurt their feelings. But sometimes, we need to stand up and let this people know what they are lacking. If no one will be strong enough to stand, these people will never see their mistakes.

I am not supposed to open this up, but what the heck! I'm pissed. I don't like to be put in this kind of pedestal especially if I have not done anything wrong. But despite this, I am still cool. I just want to let go of this feeling so I could move on.

On the lighter side, I still have training to attend tomorrow. I hope it will be a better day for me because today sucks bigtime!

Happy Blogger. I am so happy that my blog was approved. Isn't that great? Wee! I love writing and I'll love it more with this new gig. Please have a visit at BlogsVertise for opportunities.

Excess Baggage. I feel so weird today. For some reason, there's this baggage of feeling I'd like to get rid of. I'm pissed of something and I can't help but react. Well, I know we can't please everyone. Just like what they say, in every movie comes a villain. We also have villains in our lives. It's just that sometimes, these villains cross over the border and assume too much of things. Hmm, I guess they play their role too well. I just hate people who have many different faces. They are too coward to stand on what they say and loves to back-stab others. Personally, I prefer to be stabbed at the front so I could see right in the eye. Too bad, these people don't have the guts. And I truly hate their guts.

What I'd like to say really is that, a person should wait for others to praise him and be recognized. He should be humble to himself. Maybe he should start to re-assess himself and ask: "Am I thinking of the better for everyone or for the better of my own?" Think again!

Time Management. Weee! I am so happy that one of my blog gigs have been approved. Isn't that nice? hehe. I am so revved up to keep on blogging for a cause. My friends wonder how I can manage to blog despite my schedule. Well, time management is the answer to that.

I've been living independently for a few years now and I've managed to handle things orderly. I think it matters a lot to be organized to save time and effort.

I manage to:

1) plan and organize clothes to wear for 5 days work
2) decide ahead of time the menus for the whole week
3) budget fixed expenses
4) cook everyday for dinner
5) pack my lunch before going to work in the morning
6) mingle with my friends before going to bed
7) surf and BLOG!

These things have become a routine for me. It makes my life move smoothly. I believe that with organization comes time management. haha! Peter Parker is that you? Ciao!

Two thumbs up for these tennis players! For the first time in 5 years, Rafael Nadal was able to defeat Roger Federer of the Wimbledon title. I've been an avid viewer of Tennis for so long, this year is helluva remarkable year for Nadal. His road to success in Wimbledon is really a milestone of hardwork.

The match was indeed a great one. It topped all the matches I have seen so far. Hurray to both! Nadal Rules!

Fast Tracks. Hi! I had so many things in mind but it was all blown away because of exhaustion. I was up since 6am yesterday to attend a whole day training at Orchid Country Club. Darn, the group activity was really tedious. I sweat like a pig hitting the ping pong ball. And because of that, I had migraine which almost got me vomiting. Overall, training was fun! Another will be on Saturday.

After training, I went straight to Takashimaya POSB to open a debit card for my atm account. I need a debit card for my online transactions especially this blog gig I have. The gig is not much, but can survive for extra living.

When I reached home, we celebrated my friend's birthday. And I' happen to be in-charge of cooking pasta. So while still on the way home, I've managed to inform my housemates to prepare the ingredients to make my life simpler when I arrive as I've been up for 14 hours then. The effort was worth it, we all managed to have everything done and dined by 11pm. haha! Anyhow, it was fun! Happy Birthday Che.

Ok, so now it's time for bed. Till my next post! Tata...

A new baby is born named Samsung Omnia. I am now starting to contemplate of buying this phone over the upcoming I-Phone. I've been comparing the two advanced-gadgets and it seems that Samsung Omnia is winning the race for me.

Photobucket

Reasons to buy Samsung Omnia over I-Phone:

1. 5 MP Built-in Camera
2. 8GB / 16GB Internal Flash Mem
3. Wifi Connectivity
4. Slim Feature
5. MS Office Viewer

Who can resist? Samsung is a good brand after all. I'd like to give it a try. Strategically, I feel that Samsung tied-up with Microsoft to come up with a stylish phone to compete with the up coming I-Phone. It's nice to have some choices :) Which would you bid for?
