Visit

I visited Tabuk to see my siblings and spent time with my nephews and nieces. They're growing up so fast.

And I also took the chance to visit mom and dad's tombs. Dad is turning 10 years in November and Mom's 3rd this June.

Nth mistake

I got home the other day from my trip to Manila.

Before Archie left for Singapore he told me several times to check our marriage certificate and make sure that all information are correct. I kept telling him all is fine and that he's got nothing to worry. Alas, I went to church to check on our details and found out that my birth month is incorrectly entered. Instead of September, it was written October. Goodness! This is exactly what we were talking about. Why cant these typists learn to be more cautious on what they are doing? I gave them the correct information. They miscounted the month. Haay! I bet my case is already their Nth mistake. Sorry but I can't patronize the system. It just sucks big time!

Though I'm still lucky, our certificate has not been submitted yet to NSO. Which means, I don't have to pay any correction fees for the error which I didn't even commit. Whew! Praise God. At the Civil Registrar, we just manually changed the error and had me sign for it.

Back to the real world

Happy days were over right after Archie flew back to Singapore yesterday. I was supposed to join him but since I recently ended my contract with DHL, it would be difficult to pass immigration unquestioned. So I decided to stay behind and process change of status in all of my personal data especially my passport.

I just gotta battle the lovesick kind of thing while we're apart...

Anyways, I'm here in Manila having a little taste of fun. I joined Tin with her friends at Star City and rode the breath-taking "Anchor's Away". Argh! The experience was surreal haha. I'll never forget it.

Appreciation

We traveled to Bohol right away after our wedding without opening our gifts. Yeah, we left it at home, still safely-wrapped. We didn't get the chance to open it all up after the party because we were so dead-tired. It's like our whole body system just shut down. All those months of preparation flashed in front of us in fast-forward phase. Whew! Twelve months seemed quite fast. Going back, we only had the chance to open our gifts on the eve of new year.

And for that, we would like to extend our deepest appreciation to all who came with / without gifts. Not only that, we were also overwhelmed with the money gifts we received. We didn't actually expect people to wrap gifts or give envelopes because it was only a day after Christmas :) We understood that our families and friends may have spent it with their loved ones. And their presence on that day was more than enough to make our special day uber-happy. Still, our big thanks! It feels great to be super happy on our wedding day. It makes us feel wanting to get married over and over again haha.

Happy New Year!

Bohol Beach Club experience...

Paradise...this is the word that best describes Panglao Island, Bohol. It was indeed a good decision to have chosen Bohol as our post-wedding getaway. The place is awesome! I fell inlove with it.

The people are very nice and humbled. And they treat tourists like their own family member. Who would have thought that there are still genuinely nice people back home in the Philippines? I truly admire Boholanos. Visiting Bohol is definitely a great experience.

Real fast!

Archie arrived, finally. We’ve got five more days before the Big day. The butterflies in our stomachs never went away. I hope everything will be alright…

Fast!

I am supposed to go home in the province to visit my mom and dad’s tombs but my sisters told me not to. Traditions and beliefs say that no bride-to-be is to travel when the wedding date has been scheduled. Urgh, had I known earlier, I would have not booked my flight this early. Poor Archie, had to be left behind.

So I immediately changed my schedules and didn’t waste a day not to look after our wedding details.

I'm home!

The moment I saw smoke in the air, I knew I was home to Philippines. Odd but true hehe. I arrived in Clark right on time despite the late departure in Changi. Praise God the flight was safe. The first to welcome when in Dau is of course, Jollibee. So I went in to order their new Jollibee barbeque chicken. It was satisfyingly yummy! Off I went to victory terminal bound for Baguio. Yeah, I didn't ask my family to pick me up cause I just traveled lightly. No much of a fuss! In a quick 5 hours of nap in the bus, I could feel the freezing cold breeze and the smell of pine trees. Finally, home it is...

Tampines Xmas Party

Weee! It's already xmas here in our humble abode hehe. We're having our early house xmas party tonight. I'm so excited. There's honey-roasted chicken, pancit (stir-fried nooodles), calamares, and cake from Bakerzin for dinner. And of course, a party is never complete without the boozes! Vodka and Tequilla in the house! Haha. I'm so revved up for tonight.

Love happens...

I just finished watching Love Happens and I gotta say, grieving is really the hardest part to do in one's life. I've lost many important people in my life including my parents. And the healing and moving on part, doesn't happen overnight. It may take months or even years for someone to finally move on, again. Just like what I did.

My favorite line from the movie was the part where Burke said "when one thing ends, something else begins." In my life or maybe also in your life, this line is true. I'm ending my single life and starting anew in marriage. I don't know what kind of life it will be but it is a major step to move forward.
